History
There is an old story which says that the Syrah grape come from the Iranian town of Schiraz, but the truth is that varietal actually come from the Rhone area. So the Syrah from the Valais are growing in their original craddle and reveal one of their best expression.
Winemaking
The extended maceration of 3-4 weeks allows the gentle skin extraction of colour, tannins and structure of this red wine. This is followed by 12 months of oak aging in new 400-litre barrels, during which the malolactic fermentation occurs.

Nose
The bouquet reveals notes of ripe black fruits, several spices including pepper
Palate
Powerfull wine with many layers of flavours. Notes of ripe blackberries and black cherries combined with notes of clove, cinnamon, and a lovely black pepper after taste.
Food pairings
Great pairing with red meats, grilled poultry and cheese platter.
